Post-doctoral position-Bioinformatician - Institut Jules Bordet-Laboratory of Experimental Hematology ULB Brussels (Belgium)
A Post-doctoral position in Bioinformatics is available in the Laboratory of Experimental Hematology at the Jules Bordet Institute, ULB, Brussels. The laboratory is part of the ULB-Cancer Research Center (U-CRC).
The candidate will work in the framework of a Collaborative Research Project between the Jules Bordet Institute (Dr Anne Van den Broeke) and the GIGA UAG ULiège (Professor Michel Georges) as part of the HTLV-1/BLV genomics team. He/she will be involved in research projects that address fundamental and clinical questions of tumor development in viral models of cancer with a special focus on NGS-based data analysis and single-cell genomics. As a Post-doctoral scientist, the candidate will be part of a high-quality genomics research environment and have access to core facilities.

- The team seeks an energetic and motivated post-doctoral scientist with strong expertise in bioinformatics.
- Recent PhD in a relevant area (bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, oncology or a similar discipline)
- Proficiency in using R/Bioconductor packages as well as scripting/programming languages (Bash, Perl, Python …), working in Linux environment and computing clusters
- Experience in NGS pipeline analysis. Experience in single-cell and Oxford Nanopore data analysis is an asset
- Good spoken and written English
- Determined to work independently and as part of a team, good communication and organizational skills

POST-DOCTORAL POSITION- Research Laboratory on Human Reproduction
Position available for a Post-doctoral Student within an international mobility program starting in 2018 in the Research Laboratory on Human Reproduction, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) located in the Erasme Campus (Anderlecht, Brussels, Belgium). The laboratory is part of the ULB-Cancer Research Center (U-CRC).
It is supervised by Dr Demeestere Isabelle has expertise in fertility preservation, including mainly ovarian tissue cryopreservation, in vitro follicular growth and pharmacological protection against chemotherapy-induced ovarian damage.
Candidates should hold a master degree in Biomedical or Medical science, Biology or Molecular Biology, and have a PhD degree in experimental female reproduction field.
The position is funded for 2 years by the EOS grant (“Excellence of Science”), with possible 1 additional year extension.
